Science is essential for our profession—and for the dogs we care for.

It’s time to move beyond the basics and dive into current academic research in animal behavior.

Learn how to critically evaluate and apply this knowledge as professional R+ dog trainers, behavior consultants, and dog sports enthusiasts.

If you’re ready to elevate your dog training and behavior expertise through the power of science, let me guide you on that journey.

Why Science Matters

As a field, we’ve only begun to skim the surface of the science available to us.
Here are just a few things deeper study can make possible for you, your clients, and their dogs:

Craft more effective training plans

Loosen the grip of misconceptions that harm dogs

Reach behavior goals more quickly

Jump to the next level of competition performance

Blow clients’ minds—and get them on board

Form more compelling arguments for a budget proposal or policy change

Make real progress on problem prevention

The sky is the limit when we don’t limit ourselves to the basics

Our profession needs science. The dogs need science.

Hello. I’m Dr. Kristina Spaulding.

I’m guessing you’re pretty serious about dog training and behavior and the science behind it all. I am, too. Geeky serious. So geeky serious I got my PhD in biopsychology, am a Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist, and have taught university courses about the science of behavior.

But my favorite thing is sharing science with my fellow R+ dog trainers—because when we add science to our craft we change dogs’ lives—and our own, too. I’m glad you’re here and I can’t wait to geek out with you.
